Lisa Luehman is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner working in the Department of Women’s Health at WESTMED with a focus in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Weight Management, and Gynecologic Oncology.
Lisa joined Dr. Dunne in her medically supervised weight management program in 2017, focusing on the unique problems women have controlling their weight throughout their lifetime. With a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a Coaching minor from The University of Minnesota, a second Bachelor’s in Nursing from New York University, and a Master’s degree from Pace University, Lisa brings a unique perspective and passion for preventive medicine to her weight management approach.
Prior to joining WESTMED, Lisa was a nurse practitioner with Diagnostic and Medical Specialists of Greenwich and North Stamford Medical Associates where she was a primary care provider for patients in Internal and Obesity Medicine.
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Lisa worked as a registered nurse in a physical rehabilitation unit, experiencing first-hand the physiologic effects, diseases and mental struggles patient’s go through when overweight. She also worked as a labor and delivery nurse, witnessing obstetrical complications related to excess weight including preterm labor, stillbirth, pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, and cesarean delivery. Both experiences inspired her passion for empowering women to make individualized plans to improve their health and daily lives.
Lisa works out of 1 Theall road in Rye, NY and 3030 Westchester in Purchase, NY. She is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
